Assessment Findings from the history and physical may include: Allergies in up to 50% of people with nephrotic syndrome Edema, especially around the eyes and dependent extremities Low urine output Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, anorexia, and abdominal pain – particularly in the upper right quadrant Respiratory trouble, caused by fluid accumulation in lungs Loss of muscle mass and failure to grow High blood pressure
